Last Saturday my wife and I finally picked up our 2011 Fishing License after 2 years.  The whole fishing license process is so different!  No more buying “tear-out ticket” licenses.  Now during purchase, your entire information on your driver’s license is entered/recorded in the Department of Fish & Game’s online system.  Everything comes out to $43 and some changes.  The only freebie included in your license is a Striper Sticker.

Now that I have my fishing license, I’m pumped!  I’m already thinking of the new gear I want to get and the spots I want to hit up after all this time being away from fishing.  My wife and I usually go to coast of Sausalito to catch big size rubber lip perch, rainbow pearch and silver perch.  I would give this spot away but this is my cousin Henry’s spot that he keeps to himself and few others, but we’ll see…lol! But check out this Halibut he caught in Alameda and the Perch that we usually catch in Sausalito.  I got old pics of my fish but I still got to dig them up.  On my next few post, you’ll see them. The other two spots we go to up the coast are Pacifica and the beaches in Half Moon Bay.  If we go with family and/or a big group (especially when kids are there), we usually stick with Pacifica since it’s convenient and not too hard to get around.  There, we usually get dungeness and rock crab, for fish we catch small Perch and King Fish.  The only time we’ll fish in Half Moon Bay is when we search out beaches, were you have to walk quite a distance but when you find the perfect spot, it’ll be worth the hunt!

So what’s up? I’m down to fish! I know a few of you been waiting for me to get my license, so I did! Erickson? Steve Irie? Manny? Mikey? Let got to hook up!  If anybody else besides the 4 I mentioned wants to hook up, then comment below and let’s make this happen for 2011!

I went fishing in Half Moon Bay, Pescadero Beach and Pillar Point Harbor

Check Out What Pretzel Crisps Delivered Me!

First of all, I want to personally thank Pretzel Crisps for delivering me 2 free bags of their pretzel crackers.  Wanna know how I connected with them?  It was just through my everyday food picture tweets on Twitter and Facebook. I guess they saw my love for food then the next thing I knew I was DM’ing my address…lol!

Ok, so here’s my review of their pretzels.  I haven’t opened all of the flavors yet, the ones that I tasted were Sesame, Cinnamon and Tuscan Three Cheese.  Between the 3, I really liked the Cinnamon flavor.  The other 2 were great too but knowing me, I tend to choose sweets over anything.  Again, it’s all about what mood you’re in.  Sometimes even the salty-type flavor is better than sweet.  What I really liked about each pretzel is that they’re individually seasoned very well and evenly.  Not like other snacks, you’ll get pieces that are over seasoned.  Now when it comes to “addicting” these things fit in that category!  To me it’s more than the taste but the CRUNCH factor.  It’s something about that special crunch that makes it very addicting.  They even have special recipes dips too. Overall, what I find very unique is how their pretzels are so thin.  Usually when you eat pretzels that come in bags they are so thick, filling and you can only eat a few before getting full.  You gotta try these and see for yourself!

Their flavors include Original, Everything, Garlic Parmesan, Sesame and Buffalo Wing, Classic, Supreme, Tuscan Three Cheese, Cinnamon Toast, Dark Chocolate Crunch, Peanut Butter Crunch and White Chocolate & Peppermint.

Check them out online, especially on Twitter because they get back to you fast and in real-time!
